Structure your project with spaces

Learn how to organise your projects using Spaces in thesheet.

What are spaces?

Spaces help you structure a project by separating it into different areas. For example, in a residential project, spaces could be "Living Room," "Kitchen," or "Bedroom." In a commercial project, you might use “Floor 1”, "Reception," "Conference Room," or "Offices."

How to add spaces to your project

Option 1: During initial project creation

  1. After creating a project, you'll be prompted to either "Get started with Spaces" or "Start from scratch."
  2. To add spaces, type the name of a space (e.g., "Living Room") in the provided field.
  3. Click on the + icon to add the space to your project.
  4. Repeat for additional spaces.
  5. Once all spaces are added, click Get started with Spaces to see them in your project.

Note: If you selected "Start from scratch" or skipped adding Spaces, you can add them later using Option 2.

Option 2: During the project

  1. With your project open in the Sheet view, click the blue + icon at the bottom right of your screen.
  2. Select Add Spaces from the three main features that appear.
  3. In the Organise Space menu, type the name of the space (e.g., "Living Room") and click the + icon to add it.
  4. Repeat for additional Spaces.
  5. To reorder Spaces, click the dots icon and drag the space up or down.
  6. Close the menu to return to your project.
