How to Use the Project Overview View

Stay organised by using thesheet’s project overview view, designed to give you a quick, at-a-glance view of your entire project from start to finish.

The full overview of your project in thesheet

This overview view consolidates the different phases of your project into one easy-to-navigate dashboard, using data you’ve already entered into your spec sheets. View each product to track their current progress at a glance.

What is the project overview?

The project overview groups all your project’s products by their current phase (e.g., Proposed, Approved, Ordered) and status (e.g., In production, In transit), so you can quickly see where every product stands.

How to use the project overview tab

Navigating to overview:

  • Open your project and click on the overview view. Sometimes with medium to larger projects this could take a few seconds to load, as it is pulling information from each of the different phases.
  • Here, you’ll see a summary of products, each grouped by phase:
    • Proposed (ready for client approval)
    • Approved (products approved for ordering)
    • Ordered (items currently being processed by the supplier)

View product statuses:

In the order phase, products have specific statuses that tell you their current condition. For example:

  • In production, In transit, Delivered, and Installed (tracking the shipment and installation stages).

Tip: These statuses are automatically updated based on your project’s progress, saving you time and reducing the risk of losing track of product stages.
