Project Sorting
Organise your project with thesheet sorting
Sorting and filtering products in a project can be one of the biggest challenges for interior designers. To make it easier, thesheet allows you to sort your project by spaces or product categories and subcategories.
How to sort your products in thesheet using spaces and product categories
What are Spaces in thesheet?
Spaces help you structure a project by separating it into different areas. For example, in a residential project, spaces could be "Living Room," "Kitchen," or "Bedroom." In a commercial project, you might use “Floor 1”, "Reception," "Conference Room," or "Offices."

What are product categories in thesheet?
Product categories help you divide your project and Product Library by product type. This feature allows you to search and sort through multiple products quickly and adds flexibility to how you view your project.

How to sort with spaces and product categories.
Spaces let you sort your project by specific areas, while product categories allow you to organize by product type. Both can be used simultaneously for more refined sorting. For example, you can view all "coffee tables" (subcategory) in the "Living Room" (space).
Sort your project
Once products are added to your project, a blue and yellow plus icon will appear at the top of your products in Sheet view. How to add products to a project.
1. Sorting by space
- Click the blue plus icon to sort by spaces in your project. This will display all products organized by the space they’ve been allocated to.
- To stop sorting by space, click the "x" next to the space name.
2. Sorting by product category
- Click the yellow plus icon to sort by product category. This will organise your products by category according to thesheet's system.
- After sorting by category, a secondary yellow plus icon will appear. Click this to further sort by product subcategory.
This allows you to view your project in greater detail, such as all chairs (subcategory) in the dining room (space) or all ceiling lights (subcategory) in the living room (space). This functionality is particularly useful during the quoting and ordering phases.
By combining both sorting options, you can organise your project into the finer details, improving efficiency and helping you focus on specific areas or product types in your design.

- You can also assign or change the space when viewing the specific product details.
4. Select a space when adding adding a product from the product library

What is the default space or product category and how to fix it.
If a product has been assigned to a default space or product category, it means it hasn’t been specifically categorised. To fix this:
- Add a space to your product by selecting the relevant space from the dropdown.
- Add a relevant product category by choosing the correct category from the available options.
