Manage contacts in thesheet
Contacts in thesheet
Use thesheet to manage your client and supplier contacts for your projects. Adding client and supplier information makes quoting and invoicing through thesheet easier.
You can save two types of contacts within thesheet:
How are client contacts added to thesheet?
Automatically
- Client contacts are automatically created when you create a new project.
- You will be prompted to add the client name, which will create a new client in your Client contacts.
Note: The address added to a project will not be automatically assigned as the client address.
Example: Ms. Sanders, an empty client contact, is automatically created in Client contacts when starting a project.
- By clicking on the client contact, you can update their information, making it easier when sending client invoices.
- Example:
- You can add multiple contacts to a client, which is especially helpful when working with corporate clients.
- In the client contact summary, you can view the main client information as well as the primary contact if multiple contacts have been added.
Manually
You can also manually add and edit client contacts.
- In the Contacts library, navigate to the Client contacts
- Click the + Client button in the top right corner
- This opens an empty client contact form where you can manually enter the necessary information.
- Add all the client information you need for your project and quoting.
Example
- You can also add multiple client contacts if required.
At any phase of the project, you can edit client contact information directly from the Client contacts
How are supplier contacts added to thesheet?
Automatically
Supplier contacts are automatically added when adding a product to thesheet
- If the supplier field is filled in within the Product Clipper or while adding or editing a product, this will create a new supplier contact.
Example: A new supplier contact for "Hay" is created when adding the supplier name while clipping a product.
- You can also select from the suppliers you already have listed when editing a product directly in thesheet.
If you need quotes directly from suppliers, update and edit these supplier contact to include email and supplier contact information.
If you only order directly from supplier websites, updating supplier contact information may not be necessary.
- If you need quotes directly from suppliers, update and edit these supplier contacts.
- You can also add contacts and distributors if you have multiple contacts with a supplier (e.g., for different regions).
